Wanted to give a special shout out to Honorary Master judge Peter Charles Caddoo on his retirement on October 31, 2023 after brewing for 5 decades (3 professionally and 2 home brewing). He’s won countless GABF, WBC, AmeriCAN, and other medals.
For those who don’t know, Peter sat for the first ever BJCP exam ever given on May 31, 1985 and holds the “first” BJCP number of (A0001) where he achieved National out the gate. He has been active in the program for almost 37 years and is one of only five remaining active judges out of the original 51 that took the first exam!
Thank you Peter for being a torch bearer and helping to make the BJCP the world wide organization it’s become today as you have been an inspiration to many future judges, especially in the Southern region; myself being one of them. It is an honor to recognize you for everything you have done.
