South Regional Representative Phil Farrell, who has served on the BJCP Board since 2008, recently retired from the board to focus on his professional brewing endeavors as the BrewMaster of StillFire Brewing in Suwanee, GA. He plans to continue to serve as an Associate Exam Director.
On the recommendation of Phil, BJCP President Gordon Strong proposed and the BJCP Board approved the appointment of Sal Mortillaro II to serve as the South Representative until the region’s next election in 2021 (per the BJCP bylaws). Sal is a Grand Master judge from Mandeville, LA, and active exam grader, a GABF judge, and was serving as an Assistant Rep for the South region prior to his appointment.
The BJCP thanks Phil for this service on the board and his continued service to the organization in the Exam Directorate.
