Representative Job Description

Regional Representative and Assistant Regional Representatives  – Job Descriptions

The BJCP Bylaws contain general descriptions for the responsibilities of the BJCP President, Vice President, and Treasurer roles and broadly define the responsibilities as Regional Representatives. As part of creating Assistant Regional Representative positions, Position Descriptions for Regional Representatives and Assistant Regional Representatives were drafted.

Representatives represent regions as defined by state and country boundaries. Assistant Regional Representatives work within regions at the local level, and are selected to be in proximity to clusters of BJCP judges and activity. Assistant Regional Representatives should be located throughout the region so that no two are in close proximity to each other, and do not have rigid boundaries of responsibility. In 2020, the BJCP Board approved guidelines for the selection of Assistant Regional Reps.

Not surprisingly, the job descriptions for Reps and Assistant Reps have many similarities. They are arranged in a table format here to ensure consistent wording.
