IT Director Job Description

The IT Director manages the Information Technology directorate and staff, and has the following duties:

  • Develop and manage IT plan, policy, strategy, and architecture, and direct information system development work
  • Identifying automation opportunities and respond to new requirements from other directorates
  • Budgeting for IT expenses, recruiting personnel and managing tasks, selecting products and services
  • Coordinate with Communication Directorate on web site strategy
  • Managing database development and operation, and web site operations
  • Coordinate with other directorates on data entry and consolidation
  • Maintain email aliases and mailing list membership

The Assistant IT Director has the following responsibilities:

  • Overseeing web application development
  • Administration of server, system, and service operations
  • Manage development staff
  • Work on system development and migration project
