Elections / re-election
Thanks to everyone who voted in the BJCP election. I am told the West Region had our best turn-out ever, and it was a very close race. I hope to fulfill your expectations to serve as your representative as we shape the future of the BJCP.
Promotions in Region in this Quarter (National+)
Congratulations to Miranda Olds of San Francisco, CA who became a BJCP National judge in May and Rushi Chakrabarti of San Diego, CA who earned his National rank in July.
(Editors Note: This list was compiled in October 2014. The BJCP Bulletin wishes to also congratulate those who have reached National, Master, and Grand Master ranks since that time.)
West Region News
One of the main tasks I committed to help with is to make the projects and improvement activities that the BJCP is working on visible to our membership. We hope that by providing online access to the objectives of our projects, the status of the project and major milestones, and the contact info for those doing the work will enable us to get more of our membership involved in our organization. We certainly will need some folks with the energy, time, and skills to help move things forward. Look for an update in the next issue of the newsletter as to how you can get plugged in on a project you are interested in.
There are a lot of competitions coming up this fall in our region. Check the schedule at BJCP.com and enter or get out and judge: Competition Center
