  • JudgeNet

    Not exactly a website, JudgeNet is an e-mail discussion group where all aspects of beer judging are aired. JudgeNet has been operated by BJCP Master Judge Chuck Cox for many years, and is an excellent forum for discussion of important (and just interesting) issues.   • Homebrew Digest

    The Homebrew Digest has been around since the 1980s. Like JudgeNet, it was originally just an e-mail discussion group, but now also boasts a dedicated and comprehensive website. The Digest "janitors" have done a remarkable job in expanding the HBD's scope.

  • Beertown

    Beertown is the home of the Association of Brewers, the organization that operates the American Homebrewers Association, the Institute for Brewing Studies, Brewers Publications, the Great American Beer Festival, and other ventures related to beer and brewing.

  • CAMRA

    The Campaign for Real Ale's website has a great deal of useful information.

  • National Guild of Wine and Beer Judges (U.K.)

    The Guild is more or less the equivalent to the BJCP for England and Wales.

  • Craft Brewing Association (U.K.)

    The Craft Brewing Association is a non-commercial, volunteer, self-help group of homebrewers who wish to maintain the craft of brewing and improve their beers. It is recognized by CAMRA as the UK's national home brewing organisation.

  • Bier Keurmeesters Gilde (BKG) (The Dutch Beer Judge Guild)

    A similar organization in The Netherlands. There is no English text in their website, but their list of links is quite useful.

  • Zythos

    The Belgian consumer organization, (similar to CAMRA). Their website is mostly in Flemish.

  • Biersortenbeschreibung (Beer Styles List)

    Would you like to see what our style guidelines would look like in German? Here's a site that did a remarkable job of rendering the style listing with a German flavor.

  • Rukovodstvo po tipam Piva

    Russia may not be known as one of the primary brewing nations, but most Russions enjoy a good beer as well as anyone.

  • HÅNDBRYG.DK (The Danish beer style guide)

    A similar organization in Denmark. There is no English text in their website, but their list of links is quite useful.

  • Tim Cailloux's version of the exam study guide as a PDF.

    Tim, a BJCP member, created this Acrobat version and is making it available. It's about 360 KB if you want to download it.

  • Software Links

    We're sure there are other homebrew software packages available, but these seem to be the most popular (listed alphabetically). Authors are invited to submit others for a link.
