BICEP Bonus Points
For organizer only:
Due to the fact that the quality of judging is directly related to the quality of these classes, organizers will be rewarded accordingly. Organizers of classes that do exceptionally well on the exam will rewarded with bonus points on the following point schedule:
-
Class Test Average
-
75% = 1.0 point
-
68% = 0.5 point
Example:
-
10 take exam
-
Scores are 82, 68, 63, 75, 72, 59, 61, 64, 58, 81
-
Total of scores = 683 (of 1,000 possible)
-
Average score roughly 68%, so 0.5 bonus point awarded.
BICEP Organizer Point Retroactivity
In our opinion, leading these BICEP courses is the SINGLE MOST important aspect of the CEP program. Without adequate primary education, continuing education lacks purpose and focus. Therefore, the organizers should be rewarded for their effort.
Retroactivity will be instilled for BICEP courses due to these facts:
-
We have extensive records of tests that were given,
-
The class leader is nearly always the exam proctor and
-
If the class leader was not the proctor then the tasting proctors can vouch for the BICEP leader.
A two-year post-deadline is placed on applying for retroactive points starting from the initiation of the CEP Program, January 1, 2005. (e.g. BICEP tests given before January 1st, 2003 are ineligible).
This is a one time only opportunity and will not be carried into the future. The course leader has one year to apply for their retroactive points starting May 1st, 2005.
*****NOTE***** Future BJCP course leaders must fill out the CEP BJCP course application form. If not done before the test for the class is taken, no organizer points will be awarded.
